DIS
Website for Danish institute for study abroad

Background
DIS offers U.S. students the chance to study in Denmark and Sweden, combining academic courses and real culture insights through travel and student life.
The website was designed to reflect that experience. I aimed for a Scandinavian look—clean, modern, and open—while keeping it familiar for American students and parents. A light gray background gave the content space to breathe, with side-loaded elements adding structure without feeling rigid. The DIS blue was used consistently for interactive elements, ensuring intuitive navigation. Beyond course listings, the site highlights student blogs, videos, and journals, making the experience feel real and personal. It was important to create a platform that was both informative and inviting, showing not just what DIS offers but what it feels like to be a part of it.
The redesign boosted user engagement, with more time spent on program pages and student stories. The feedback from DIS and U.S. student counselors was highly positive, appreciating the site’s user-friendly design and content.
